Daly City, CA (February 26, 2008)--Digidesign's ICON integrated console was recently acknowledged with the Cinema Audio Society (CAS) award for Technical Achievement at the organization's 44th annual awards ceremony.
The annual Cinema Audio Society Awards, held February 16 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, recognizes outstanding achievements in sound mixing and sound production technologies for television and feature films. This is the fourth year the Cinema Audio Society presented the Technical Achievement Award, which included two categories-outstanding product used in production and outstanding product used in post-production. The Digidesign ICON integrated console took home top honors in the post production category.
"We're exceptionally proud to once again be recognized by such a prestigious group as the Cinema Audio Society--an organization of the very top mixers in working TV and film today," said Digidesign's director of professional console sales Rich Nevens, who was also on hand to accept the award. "Receiving the CAS award is a real testament to the ongoing collaboration between our users and the development and test teams at Digidesign. We're tremendously thankful for the support of our users worldwide and are proud to play a part in their ongoing success."
