Los Angeles, CA (May 23, 2006)–Producers Glen Ballard and Dave Stewart recently recorded some respected studio musicians at Westlake, in Studio D, for the soundtrack for the upcoming film, Charlotte’s Web, starring Dakota Fanning as Fern and Julia Roberts as the voice Charlotte. Scott Campbell engineered the session assisted by John Adams and Eric Rennaker.
Ballard also worked with Josh Groban in Studio D, tracking vocals for an upcoming album–again, with Campbell engineering and Adams assisting. And, multi platinum selling rapper, Ludacris, dropped by Westlake’s Studio A to lay down some vocal overdubs with engineer Jason Rankins and assistant engineer Phillip Ramos.
J Records hip-hop artist, Clyph, laid down tracks in Westlake’s Studio C with producer JR. Adams engineered the session, assisted by Rennaker. Britney Spears and co-writer Lisa Green took over Studio C to craft some new songs for an upcoming album, working with engineer Pablo Mungia, who was assisted by Adams and Gael Hedding.
Meanwhile, Slayer has been holed up in Studio A tracking for their full-length album with producer Josh Abraham and engineer John Ewing Jr. And, saxophonist, Boney James, who has performed with Stevie Wonder, Morris Day, The Isley Brothers, and Al Jarreau to list just a few, completed sax overdubs in Studio D. At the helm is engineer, Dave Riddeau, assisted by Ramos and Brian Warwick.
