Chiccarelli Co-Producing The New Shins Record

Oregon City, OR/San Francisco, CA (September 25, 2006)--Producer/engineer Joe Chiccarelli is co-producing and engineering the new Sub Pop album by The Shins. This new album is the follow-up to the band's acclaimed 2003 album, Chutes Too Narrow, and thus, is eagerly anticipated.

Oregon City, OR/San Francisco, CA (September 25, 2006)–Producer/engineer Joe Chiccarelli is co-producing and engineering the new Sub Pop album by The Shins. This new album is the follow-up to the band’s acclaimed 2003 album, Chutes Too Narrow, and thus, is eagerly anticipated.

Pictured during mixing sessions at Supernatural Sound, at the API Legacy Plus console, are (l-r): Shins keyboardist Marty Crandall, Chicarelli, engineer Sean Flora and Shins singer/songwriter/guitar player James Mercer.Chiccarelli has been working with the Shins at Supernatural Sound in Portland, OR–where the band is based–as well as at SF Soundworks in San Francisco. The album, tentatively titled, Wincing the Night Away, is slated for a January, 2007 release on Sub Pop.
