New York (September 21, 2004)--Yamaha’s PM5D has been rolling out in recent times, landing on current tours with Ziggy Marley and Tom Jones, as well as an outing at the ESPN X Games. Installers, however, are also showing an interest in the desk, as proven by recent installations in Grace Chapel of Englewood, CO and Willow Creek Church of Barrington, IL.

Suburban Denver's Grace Chapel was the first to receive a unit for installation. "When we first saw the PM5D, we knew it had everything we needed to upgrade the sound of our church," said Ted Cumpston, director of Media Services at the 1,800-seat facility. "Putting a digital console in a church is always risky if you're dealing with non-professional audio engineers, but little did we know how easy it was to operate and how intuitive the functionality would be. The ease of programming audio elements and the layout actually makes it a pleasure to mix."
