New York, NY (September 16, 2010)--Musicians and fans have just one more week to enter a contest that could send them to the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City.

At the Pick The Band web site, musicians can create a profile and upload their music, videos and photos. Fans can create their own profiles and share the music they discover; every time a fan 'shares a band,' they are entered for a chance to win a trip to the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City (October 19-23). Fans can win flights, hotels for two nights, two rooms for four people, Sennheiser headphones and four tickets to the CMJ Music Marathon. Winning bands get a performance slot at the CMJ Music Marathon.

In June, Sennheiser announced that it had partnered with Pick The Band, the world's first "fan-run record label," for the launch of its HearIAm campaign. Universal Republic Records is also supporting the initiative.

Several musician finalists will receive customized phone applications to assist in their outreach activities and become eligible to win a performance slot at major American music festivals, along with $10,000 in Sennheiser gear. By the time the contest wraps up in spring of 2011, a single grand-prize winner will be selected to receive a special A&R showcase and a distribution deal, courtesy of Universal Republic records.
