Commercial and Movie Sessions Heat Up at The Village

West Los Angeles, CA (June 7, 2006)--The Village Recording Studios in West Los Angeles has been busy with feature film and commercial music tracking and mixing projects. Village regulars Roger and Scott Wojahn of the Santa Monica-based Wojahn Bros. Music, a commercial music production house, have been producing several projects recently, including recording sessions with American Idol finalists Taylor Hicks and Katherine McPhee, engineered by Francis Buckley on the Neve 88R analog console in Studio D, for an in-show Ford commercial.

West Los Angeles, CA (June 7, 2006)--The Village Recording Studios in West Los Angeles has been busy with feature film and commercial music tracking and mixing projects. Village regulars Roger and Scott Wojahn of the Santa Monica-based Wojahn Bros. Music, a commercial music production house, have been producing several projects recently, including recording sessions with American Idol finalists Taylor Hicks and Katherine McPhee, engineered by Francis Buckley on the Neve 88R analog console in Studio D, for an in-show Ford commercial.
Pictured in The Village's Studio D are (l-r): Scott Wojahn, Taylor Hicks, Katherine McPhee and Roger Wojahn.Buckley also engineered a music session for a Jack in the Box commercial spot with the Wojahn Bros. in Studio D, as well as Chik-fil-a and Dr. Pepper spots in Studio B. The Wojahn Bros. also produced original music for commercial spots on behalf of Applebees, Hampton Inn and Juicy Juice, with Ted Blaisdell engineering in Studios B, D and F.

Marco Beltrami was in Studio D at The Village, with John Kurlander at the controls of the 88R, working on the 5.1 music soundtrack for the 20th Century Fox remake of The Omen released yesterday (6.6.6.). Also in Studio D, Andrea Guerra produced the soundtrack sessions for the Sony Pictures release, The Pursuit of Happyness, a film set for release in December 2006. Joel Iwataki engineered.

For the first release from Carsey-Werner Films, You Are Going to Prison, G. Marq Roswell produced and Hank Cicallo engineered the soundtrack mix on the Neve VR console in Studio B. Mike Piersante engineered an LCR mix for the hit WB television series, Gilmore Girls, for client Sam Phillips. The mix was completed on the Digidesign ICON in Studio F.

Creative director Jeff Elmasian and executive producer Sheri Christensen of Santa Monica-based music shop Endless Noise dropped by to complete vocal tracking and mixing for a Tropicana commercial with Barry Goldberg engineering on the classic Neve 8048 console in Studio A. And, Santa Monica commercial music house Stimmung visited The Village for a tracking and mixing session on behalf of Uncle Ben's. Damon Tedesco engineered in Studio B.
