Luton, UK (January 16, 2004)--On New Year's Eve, Luton, UK-based Concert Sound Ltd. made the decision to purchase an arena-sized JBL VT4889 line array system. The system will be delivered by month's end. The company has used JBL components in its custom stage monitors for a number of years.

"The value and capabilities of JBL transducers are unquestioned," noted Tim Boyle, Concert Sound's managing director. "With VerTec, it is obvious that JBL have moved to develop a world-class touring system based on the strong foundation those components can provide. Our customers have been encountering VerTec more and more in their travels around the globe, and we see this as a worthwhile business investment for the long term."

With a delivery in January, the new system will see its first major use serving Eric Clapton's spring European tour. After production rehearsals in England, the tour begins in France in March.
