Farmingdale, NY (March 29, 2010)-–D’Addario has promoted Brian Johnson to product and systems specialist. He joined D’Addario five years ago as the fretted product specialist.
As product specialist for D’Addario strings, Johnson is responsible for assisting product managers with market research, product management and product development. He also coordinates art and creative products such as printed materials, packaging, web creative and marketing presentation and training materials for D’Addario Fretted strings and Planet Waves’ music accessories.
In addition to his product specialist tasks, Johnson will now be taking on the role of systems information specialist for all D’Addario and Co. brands (including Percussion, Rico and Bowed). He will be officially responsible for organizing and managing product data (SKU info, descriptions/content, images) in various company systems, ensuring consistent and complete systems information across all brands as well as directing the product managers on standards, requirements, deadlines, criteria/specs, etc. in order to meet launch deadlines. Johnson will also be maximizing product or content outreach from all systems (how the content is consistently presented/displayed), including sales and marketing support, product training, packaging, etc.
