Paris (May 11, 2006)–The finishing touches are being set for the 120th AES Pro Audio Expo & Convention, May 20-23, being held at the Porte de Versailles in Paris. Many exciting new features have been added, to make this year’s convention a standout.
“This year visitors can expect a much greater number of presentations for all of the subjects covered in the convention,” said AES executive director Roger Furness. “Attendees will see an expansion in all areas–from the workshops, to the new Application Seminars, to the comprehensive Paper Sessions and the Exhibitor Seminars.”
The Application Seminars are happening throughout the Convention as follows: May 20 – Broadcast (AM) and Recording (PM); May 21 – Post Production (I & II); May 22 – Installation (I & II) and May 23 – Live Sound (I & II).
“Each Seminar has been selected for its relevance to the daily program,” explained Application Seminars organizer Gisele Clark. “They will be held in a specially-built auditorium directly on the exhibition floor, easy to reach and accessible for visitor participation at no additional cost.”
“As in past conventions, we have added a number of new exhibitors to this year’s Convention, a trend that we view as very positive for the industry,” said Thierry Bergmans, head of planning for the AES Europe conventions. “Another special attraction, our Exhibitor Seminars, will feature Digidesign hosting a total of 23 Seminars in English and French, with topics ranging from Film Mixing to Pro Tools HD and AVID Workflow. This marks the first time this comprehensive a Seminar series has been developed by a single AES Convention exhibitor.”
