Paris, France (May 10, 2004)–Dalet has announced that Accenture Italy has selected DaletPlus Media Library to manage the video archives for one of Italy’s largest southern school districts. The implementation will provide professors with an online digital media production platform to facilitate the use of video material in classrooms.
Using DaletPlus Media Library, professors can search for videos relevant to the courses they prepare; they can make simple clip selections and produce new videos that they will use as didactic material with their students. The solution will be made available to all middle and high schools in the next scholastic year; it will then be extended to elementary and lower grade schools.
“After careful analysis, we concluded that DaletPlus Media Library was the right software platform to fulfill the present and future requirement of our demanding customer,” explained Carlo Iacoboni, project manager, Accenture. “The positive feedback we received from our customer proves that we made the right choice.”
“The deployment of DaletPlus Media Library as a distance learning distribution platform is a great illustration of digital convergence,” commented Wolfgang Klein, general manager, Dalet Germany. “Teachers and professors can now use this on-line digital library to create new, compelling audio-visual content for their students. Using their PCs, they are taking advantage of the very same tools that broadcasters and media professionals do in studio and edit suites.”
