db Audiotechnik All Over US Tours

New York (July 18, 2005)--d&b Audiotechnik gear had a low U.S. profile a few years ago, but it seems that the company’s boxes are turning up on more and more tours and events. While Bonnaroo had a selection of d&b on hand, and the Killers tour is making use of a sizable monitor rig based around the company’s wedges, there seems to be plenty more where that came from.

New York (July 18, 2005)–d&b Audiotechnik gear had a low U.S. profile a few years ago, but it seems that the company’s boxes are turning up on more and more tours and events. While Bonnaroo had a selection of d&b on hand, and the Killers tour is making use of a sizable monitor rig based around the company’s wedges, there seems to be plenty more where that came from.

50 Cent’s current tour–shows he’s doing solo in between dates on the much-hyped Anger Management jaunt–is using a full d&b C4 rig, with B2s and M2s. Meanwhile, while the Anger Management Tour is using L-Acoustics V-Dosc line array boxes for the main rig, the tour reportedly has an extensive selection of B2s and M2s on hand as well.

In a wildly different genre, Widespread Panic is still touring with the V-Dosc main PA, supplemented by Q1s for sidefill and B2s for bass along with M2s for monitors. Reportedly the band did a show at Caesar’s Palace using only the Q-Series for a rig recently.

Not to be outdone by those whippersnappers, ageless English crooner Tom Jones is touring with Tower of Power using a Q1 rig with 12 B2s in CSA mode.
