Felton, CA (May 18, 2006)–The Version 5.0 instrument software for DK Technologies’ MSD600M and PT0660 series of audio meters now includes a graphic loudness display, along with the display of the corresponding time code. This allows engineers to judge loudness as a function of time and to immediately see where levels need to be adjusted in order to reach the desired audio loudness.

Using this new software, the MSD600M and PT0660 meters both display the instant Sound Pressure Level (SPL) as a bar graph for each of the audio channels, showing this alongside a separate bar displaying the average total loudness of the audio signal since the start of the measurement.
The same screen also shows the instant SPL as a graphic curve, together with the averaged total level, thus enabling the sound to be balanced to the desired level.
