Hebden Bridge, UK (November 2, 2010)--Dome Productions will install a 64-fader Calrec Sigma console with Bluefin high-density signal processing (HDSP) in its newest HD truck, Echo.
The 53-foot trailer was designed for lean, standalone operation that delivers a big-production feel on NHL, NBA, and Major League Baseball games.
The new Sigma is Dome's eighth audio console provided by Calrec. In January, Dome took delivery of a 56-fader Calrec Omega desk with an expanded 240-channel Bluefin HDSP card. Installed in a refurbished production truck, it went on to "perform flawlessly" at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, according to Mike Johnson, director of engineering for Dome Productions.
"Our business is growing, and we are building capacity to match," said Johnson. "We appreciate the capabilities of Calrec Audio's platform, but just as important is the reliability and the outstanding support we get from the company."
The new Echo trailer, built by Gerling and Associates, is currently being wired and integrated at Dome's own facility near Toronto. It is set to take on its first assignment later this month.
