Hopatcong, NJ (November 30, 2005)–DreamMakersMP3.com, Barber Shop Studios’ online music service for independent musicians, has begun featuring the site’s top 10 downloaded artists in a weekly one-hour streaming broadcast. This latest offering by the Barber Shop, available at www.DreamMakersMP3.com, is a continuation of the studio’s efforts “to provide musicians greater control of their music and career.”
As a professional recording studio presenting an online music service with ties to established record producers such as Shelly Yakus, Tony Black, Carl Nappa, Jason Corsaro, Tony Fortuna, Jeff Lane, Mark Eddinger and Ben Elliot, the Barber Shop aims to provide independent musicians an opportunity to make their dream a reality as well as furthering the evolution of the music business.
“We understand the challenges and difficulties up-and-coming artists face in the recording industry, so we are continually exploring alternatives that will afford musicians more freedom in helping achieve their goals,” stated Scott Barber, CEO of DreamMakersMP3.com and Barber Shop Studios. “DreamMakersMP3.com has grown remarkably since it was launched in June. The feedback we have received from industry producers has been exceptionally positive and has helped further strengthen the site. Our main objective is to give musicians a forum in which their music will be heard by industry insiders. Thus far, we’ve been successful, with several of the artists first featured on DreamMakers, including Never the Man and Transfusion M, being tabbed by producers who are interested in producing their next CD. On what other online music site will artists hear from notable producers who have worked with John Lennon, Peter Gabriel and Alicia Keys?”
As the Barber Shop launches this initiative, the team is already working on other enhancements to the DreamMakersMP3.com site. Podcasts featuring artists’ music is currently under consideration, so visitors can download music from multiple artists to enjoy wherever they go. Additionally, an announcement regarding a contest to determine the best independent band on DreamMakersMP3.com is forthcoming. Among the grand prizes for this contest is recording time at the Barber Shop Studios.
