Barcelona, Spain (February 9, 2007)–DUY’s plug-in “DaD Tape” is now available as a RTAS, Audio Units, VST and MAS plug-in. DaD Tape was originally developed for TDM in the mid-90s, modeling four of the most prevalent tape machines in the market.
DUY DaD Tape DUY’s DaD Tape also simulated three of the most common noise reduction systems, and added a proprietary noiseless-tape mode. All these features are integrated into DUY DaD Tape, along with a capability to switch between tape speeds.
According to DUY, DaD Tape has been used on countless productions, by some of the best engineers and producers in the world. Grammy-winning engineer Charles Dye recently said, “I just won’t mix without DaD Tape,” and now, host-based users can follow his example.
DaD Tape rounds off peak transients and adds warmth to electronic and acoustic instruments, either individually or by sections or sub-mixes. Reportedly, DaD Tape is especially suitable for percussive sounds and for mastering of complete mixes.
