Dynaudio’s AIR 12 monitor.Westlake Village, CA (April 7, 2008)–Dynaudio Acoustics is shipping AIR 12, the latest addition to its AIR Series of reference monitors. Combining driver technology with high-resolution digital signal processing, the AIR 12 integrates into any AIR network and provides all the features from the AIR range of networked studio monitors.
The AIR 12 Master AD (with 2-channel, high-definition analog inputs, plus 2-channel AES/EBU inputs) and the AIR 12 Master D6 (with 6-channel AES/EBU inputs) retail for $2,495 each. The AIR 12 Slave active monitor with TC link input retails for $2,095.
The 1.1-inch soft-dome tweeter offers a 4mm die-cast-aluminum voice coil. To complement the lowest frequencies, the AIR 12 features an 8-inch woofer allowing an overall frequency range of 37 Hz-22 kHz and up to 128 dB peak SPL. AIR 12 includes AIR monitor control with central remote control, preset storage and recall, calibrated levels and integrated bass management.
Other features include internal precision EQs and delay lines (accessible from the dedicated Installers PC Package). Configurable in stereo, 5.1 monitoring and larger setups, AIR Series monitors are matched and interchangeable out of the box and provide full system integration and networking capabilities, enabling total recall and central control functions. They have been developed specifically to meet the demands of surround production in any application from the film, post and broadcast industries to mastering and recording studios.
