Scotts Valley, CA (March 6, 2006)–E-MU Systems has introduced its new Emulator X2 Software Sampler for PC, introducing a host of tools that includes SynthSwipe automated hardware sampling, TwistaLoop non-destructive audio manipulator, Morph Filter Designer to create custom filters, and Multi-Function Generator for advanced LFO/envelope/arpeggiator programming.
Other new tools included in Emulator X2 is the advanced Transform Multiply convolution DSP tool, and real-time control of multiple loop points, REX2 and MP3 import. Emulator X2 builds on the sound quality of E-MU’s 24-bit/192kHz sound engine and patented pitch interpolation, and can be run either standalone (64 MIDI channels) or as a VST instrument (16 MIDI channels per instantiation).
Emulator X2 ships in May 2006 with a 2-in/2-out USB MIDI interface and over 3GB of sounds at an estimated street price of $299.99. Emulator X2 will also be available as an add-on for any E-MU Digital Audio System or Xboard USB/MIDI controller ($249.99), or as an upgrade for existing Emulator X owners ($79.99).
