Carpinteria, CA (September 15, 2006)–Echo Digital Audio Corporation has released its AudioFire2, a portable multitrack FireWire recording system for Windows and Macintosh computers. AudioFire2 offers the same hardware and software as the company’s AudioFire8 and AudioFire12, but it is more affordable and ultra-compact.
Echo’s AudioFire2AudioFire2’s pocket-sized breakout box (3.5 in. x 4.25 in. x 1 in.) is bus-powered with 6-pin FireWire, perfect for the musician and DJs on the go. AudioFire2 features low-latency drivers supporting all major pro audio software and full duplex 4-in, 6-out, 24-bit 96 kHz recording and playback.
AudioFire2 has two balanced 1/4-inch analog inputs, two balanced 1/4-inch analog outputs, an independent stereo headphone output with volume knob, a removable dongle for S/PDIF and MIDI I/O, an 8-foot, 6-pin FireWire cable, a 3-foot, 6-pin to 4-pin FireWire adapter cable, and an external 12 VDC power supply. The CD includes Echo’s Console software, low-latency drivers and Mackie’s Tracktion 1 audio application. AudioFire2 is listed at $199.
