San Francisco, CA (October 4, 2006)–Tomorrow and Saturday–Days One and Two of the AES exhibition in San Francisco’s Moscone Center, legendary Beatles recording engineer Geoff Emerick will making an appearance at the Harman Pro Booth (#801) from 1-2 PM. Emerick, who recently released his memoir, Here, There, and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles (Gotham Books, 2006) will be signing books along with co-author Howard Massey at the booth.
Emerick’s groundbreaking work with the Beatles included the landmark albums Revolver, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Abbey Road, as well as the singles “Paperback Writer/Rain” and “Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane.” He is the recipient of four Grammys for his work with the Beatles and with Paul McCartney as solo artist (including the multiplatinum album Band on the Run) and many of his innovations have become standard practice in recording studios to this day.
In his post-Beatles career, Emerick has worked with a wide variety of top artists, including Jeff Beck, America, Cheap Trick, and the Mahavishnu Orchestra. In 2003, he produced Nellie McKay’s debut CD, Get Away From Me.
