Emilie Simon Speaks at AES Paris Opening Ceremony

Paris, France (May 22, 2006)--The 120th AES Pro Audio Expo & Convention in Paris opened its doors this past Saturday morning, May 20. The Opening Ceremony at 12 noon has traditionally featured a prominent keynote speaker with a unique perspective on the pro audio scene. This year, the AES will feature two speakers--Emilie Simon, composer of the Oscar-winning French film March of the Penguins, and her sound engineer Cyrille Brissot.

Paris, France (May 22, 2006)--The 120th AES Pro Audio Expo & Convention in Paris opened its doors this past Saturday morning, May 20. The Opening Ceremony at 12 noon has traditionally featured a prominent keynote speaker with a unique perspective on the pro audio scene. This year, the AES will feature two speakers--Emilie Simon, composer of the Oscar-winning French film March of the Penguins, and her sound engineer Cyrille Brissot.

Simon will demonstrate the importance of recording technology to her music and present examples of her work. She also showcased her talents today, Monday, May 22, during a Technical Tour to FIP, the Radio France Music Channel for rehearsals of a 5.1 mix of her live concert performance that evening. Technical Tour attendees received tickets to the concert.

The 120th AES Pro Audio Expo & Convention runs until tomorrow (from 10am-5pm) at the Paris Expo.
