Arlington, VA (January 28, 2005)–Systems integrators can take advantage of the winter slowdown to get a jump on new technologies, products and solutions at the fourth annual Integrators on Ice, which will take place February 7 and 8 in Chicago. Persistence, promotion and manufacturer support have built Integrators on Ice into an event that has proven its value to both dealers and manufacturers.
According to Steve Ginensky of Strategic Manufacturers Group, a Chicago area rep firm, “This is our fourth session, and it continues to get bigger each year, with more manufacturers and higher attendance.”
Digigram’s business development manager James Lamb is returning to Integrators on Ice on behalf of EtherSound and Digigram. “It’s an efficient way to educate the systems integration market on the benefits of digital audio networking, the advantages of the EtherSound protocol, and Digigram’s expanding selection of EtherSound enabled products,” he said, adding, “There’s plenty of one-on-one time with dealers and consultants.”
Digital audio networking is a major topic at this year’s Integrators on Ice, reflecting the growing demand for cost-effective, Cat 5 multichannel audio now that the robustness of the technology has been established. EtherSound will be touting its advantages, which include full compliance with the IEEE’s Ethernet standard, very low latency, and third party engineering support to help licensees bring products to market. C-Nario will present its networked media distribution solutions, while MediaMatrix displays the new NION, Digigram shows off a 64-channel EtherSound digital snake, and ProCo presents Cat 5 cables and plates to handle the physical layer. Broadata Communications will show off its fiberoptic conversion toolset.
Other highlighted products and technologies at Integrators on Ice IV include Terrasonde’s Audio Toolbox ATB-3c, along with video products from SONY and Key digital, SurgeX AC power filters, plus new full-range loudspeakers from Duran Audio. Bruce Olson will explain the new EASERA laptop-based measurement/analysis system from Acoustic Design Ahnert via Renkus-Heinz, which will display network-ready loudspeakers in a center cluster/surround system with electronic ambience supplied by a Level Control Systems Variable Room Acoustics System.
There will even be a Super Bowl party for Sunday-night guests from out of town, special rates at the Sheraton Gateway Suites, and not one, but two free lunches.
