Palo Alto, CA (June 16, 2006)--Euphonix has passed through the 50th sale of its MC range of media application controllers. The 50th sale went to Torus, an audio post-production facility in Cologne, Germany, that has an MC controlling Steinberg Nuendo.
Euphonix's MC media application controller with Mac G5 and Logic ProThe MC is a professional media application controller designed to speed up operation and bring back the feel of connectivity between the operator and any software application on both the PC and Mac OSX platforms. Connectivity is via high-speed Ethernet. The MC can switch between multiple workstations and configures its controls to match each application in focus.

The MC has four faders, nine knobs, touchscreen and 56 LCD SmartSwitches that can be programmed to send out keystroke commands, as well as a professional monitoring application called Studio Monitor Pro. The MC supports Mackie Control, HUI and the Euphonix high-speed EuCon control protocol for the ultimate in software application integration. Logic Pro, Nuendo and Pyramix all support EuCon. Pro Tools, Digital Performer and Final Cut Pro can be controlled with HUI and Mackie Control protocols.

The System 5-MC includes an MC at the center with 8-fader modules each with moving fader, eight knobs for EQ, pans, aux sends, routing and plug-ins, together with high-resolution touchscreen showing status, EQ curves and multi-format high-resolution meters. Any MC can be upgraded to a System 5-MC by adding the CM408T fader modules and a System 5-MC frame.

Euphonix CEO, Martin Kloiber is very pleased with the initial success of the MC: "We have been working on the development of an integrated range of Ethernet networked control products for some years, and now we can see the fruits of our investment. The MC, the System 5-MC, and now the integration of DAW control into our existing range of System 5 consoles, completes our music and audio post range network capabilities. No other company comes close to what we are doing with control surface integration with software applications. It's great to see the MC and System 5-MC being adopted by such a wide range of clients. This is only the start of what we feel will be a revolution in the way creative professional interact with their software applications."
