Palo Alto, CA (July 5, 2006)--Euphonix has upgraded the control surfaces for its range of digital audio mixing consoles. The new modules are operationally compatible with previous versions of the System 5 but have higher-resolution displays at the top of each module and new touch-sensitive knobs that include color-coded LED rings at the base for easy identification of the knobs function.

Euphonix has also changed the fader scale to give finer resolution around 0 dB. According to Euphonix, the higher-resolution screen displays allow for more detailed and clearer graphics showing multi-format metering, routing, channel designation (up to 14 characters) and EQ, dynamics and pan graphs.

The modules are available for the three System 5 module types: CM408T channel-strip modules (eight strips per module), CM401T master module and the CM402T central assign module with eight assignable faders.
