EV Goes Underground

New York (August 9, 2005)-- Gently perambulating around the U.S. currently is the Sounds of the Underground Tour, featuring Lamb of God, Opeth, Strapping Young Lad and High on Fire, with special guests, gore-metal merchants G’war. Conveying the tour’s soothing sounds to the assembled rabble is a sizable EV X-Line line-array, flown low at left and right to cover the pit right in front of the stage.

G’war FOH engineer and EV fan Jeremy Smith remarked, "I was really to happy to hear the tour was going out with EV mains, monitors and fills. I’m already a big fan of EV mics--nothing else stands up to the punishment G’war puts them through--and getting to mix on the X-Line is an awesome experience on a tour like this. The X-Line is the machine that powers the mosh pit, and we're running it full bore! These shows are about complete immersion in visceral volume, and this X-Line rig really has the headroom to make that dynamic happen."
