New York (November 6, 2006)–Digital cinema may still being having problems getting a foothold in the U.S. market, but in China, it’s all the rage. That’s why, after numerous cinema installations in Guangdong province on China’s south coast, Guangdong Dadi Digital Cinema China Ltd. is now scheduled to build more than 1000 digital cinemas in the Hunan province of south central China. Cinema sound systems from EV are now a part of those moviegoing experiences.
The Dadi digital cinema in Dali City employs the latest Variplex M three-way speakers, TL440M subwoofers and SL10-2V surround sound speakers.Featuring the first major sound installation at a digital cinema in southwestern China’s Yunnan province, the Dadi digital cinema in Dali City is a two screen facility that sets a template for Dadi and EV’s continued work together.
During the project’s initial stages, the decision-makers at Dadi ventured home and abroad to research sound solutions for their development plan, cross-referencing cinema sound offerings from manufacturers around the world. Eventually they agreed upon EV’s THX-approved Variplex M Series cinema loudspeaker systems and EV CPS2 amplifiers, citing the system’s balance of leading-edge technology, integration and sound quality as their deciding factors. As a result, Dadi digital cinema in Dali City employs the latest Variplex M three-way speakers, TL440M subwoofers and SL10-2V surround sound speakers.
