New York, NY (November 12, 2009)--Expansion Team has relocated and added Jean Kouremetis as producer and Carter Butler as assistant music supervisor.
The original music/sound design company led by creative director Alex Moulton and executive producer April Jaffe, has moved to a larger office space in New York's SoHo district. Additionally, the company has named New York-based based R2 as its new East Coast rep.
Armed with a Masters from New York University in management and finance, Kouremetis manages incoming jobs and the company's extensive roster of composers and recording artists. Prior to joining Expansion Team, she produced the indie film Big Fan, written and directed by screenwriter Robert Siegel (The Wrestler).
Butler assists in licensing and music supervision, manages music intake, negotiates with labels, artists and publishers, and provides creative input during "pitch" phases of the company's projects. A graduate of Furman University, Butler first came to Expansion Team in early 2009 as part of the company's internship program, which emphasizes exposing new talent to all facets of the industry by giving them real responsibilities and interaction with both Expansion Team composers, producers and clients.
The R2 representation is firm led by Richard Fink and Robin Fried. "We looked at a lot of reps and we felt R2 had the right vision for us and the connections to take us into new territory," April Jaffe says. '"It also helped that they have some very impressive companies on their roster, and we can be their sole music house."
Expansion Team is currently completing several projects, including audio rebrands of PBS and CNN International, a new theme for A&E's Biography, and ad campaigns for J.C. Penney and Oil of Olay.
