Sydney, Australia (June 26, 2006)--Fairlight has launched an online forum supporting its world wide plug-in community. This will provide a forum for users to exchange experiences, verify the integrity of various third party VST plug-ins and share the flexi-maps which map the parameters of each plug-in to the physical controls of the DREAM surface.

In addition to the integrated Creamware Scope Fusion DSP platform, Fairlight has implemented the VST 2.3 standard in its DREAM family of audio finishing tools. As such it opens up the possibility for literally thousands of plug-ins to be called up and used in a DREAM audio session. For example, most plugins in the popular VST compatible WAVES Diamond Bundle may be used with compatible DREAM systems.

Fairlight's manager of Strategic Partnerships, Lukas Bower commented, "Fairlight has always sought to deliver the best possible audio tools to our users and there is no doubt that in the area of plug-ins, the third party community has allowed us to deliver some real added value. Fairlight's new plug-in community will allow our users to share experiences and in doing so accelerate the verification of third party plug-ins. This forum will also provide our customers with an opportunity to create and share flexi-maps for a wide variety of plug-ins that may add some additional spice to their sessions."

DREAM systems offer spatial surround panning tools and every audio channel of a DREAM system can provide full signal processing including 6 bands of parametric EQ and 2 stages of dynamics. This horsepower delivers creative freedom to the operator. Easy access and seamless integration of the plug-ins into the session are the key to their usefulness. In a DREAM environment plug-in settings can be stored as presets that are available console wide. No only that, all plug-in parameters can be dynamically automated with all settings and automation stored in the one Fairlight project file.

With the forum up and running and experiences already being shared, the Fairlight user community is in great shape to extract even more creative value from their systems.
