Sydney, Australia (May 19, 2004)--Fairlight has announced the sale of a DREAM Station digital audio system to New York City-based SoundHound, for the facility's 5.1 audio post suite, Studio G.

Fairlight's DREAM Station and StationPlus are complete digital audio recording, editing and mixing systems capable of delivering final mixes in formats up to 7.1. As with other members of the DREAM family of products, QDC Technology is at the heart of the system providing blinding speed and unbelievable audio quality.

"The DREAM Station is in our new Studio G where Frank Cabanach is the mixer. Studio G is our audio post, 5.1 suite where we do radio and TV commercials and promos," said Gail Nord, SoundHound's general manager. "That room is very active and requires a high level of performance and efficiency so we got the Fairlight DREAM Station. It's what the engineer really wanted because of the flexibility. Plus, we have four other Fairlights which have been great for us."

For more than 30 years, SoundHound has established itself as one of the premier sound facilities in New York City. The state-of-the-art rooms and wide-ranging functionality have earned them the reputation as one of the media capital's truly "full service" facilities, including leading edge technologies like DREAM Station.

"Just as SoundHound is renowned for its cutting edge efforts," said John Lancken, president & CEO of Fairlight, "we too have advanced the state of the art in post production technology with the DREAM Station."
