Sydney, Australia (April 7, 2004)–Fueling the makeover of a three-studio overhaul at top-shelf audio recording complex, Jay Howard Production Audio in Charlotte, NC, Fairlight announced the sale of three of its DREAM Satellite digital audio workstations there.
That, according to new Fairlight president and CEO John Lancken, is what made them the ideal choice for Jay Howard Production Audio. “Jay Howard’s list of clients includes everything from major film ADR, to music recording to voice-overs to TV, radio and corporate work,” Lancken stated. “With that sort of work going through the facility, the power and flexibility of the DREAM Satellite made it the ideal system. We are very excited to have three of our high level systems in one of the best audio production facilities in the world.”
Commenting on the decision to upgrade the three main studios at the facility with three new Fairlight systems, Jay Howard Production Audio’s general manager, Jason Hausman said they opted for Fairlight because of their positive experience with Fairlight in the past and because, “they do not die!”
“We’ve been with Fairlight since the early 90’s, but we needed to upgrade our MFXs,” said Hausman. “We looked around at a lot of different systems and had several companies demo their DAW’s here and we realized that still, nothing touches Fairlight. Unlike other products we demo’d, which crashed and took two hours to get running, the Fairlight workstations just worked and were the obvious choice for us. Nothing out there touches the editing prowess of the Fairlight Dream Systems and they are built like tanks; indestructible.”
