Fostex Launches DV824 Digital Recorder

Norwalk, CA (December 2, 2004)--Fostex America has debuted the newest addition to its professional product line, the DV824. The DV824 records eight tracks of up to 24-bit/48 kHz (four tracks gives the user 9 6kHz), to 12cm DVD-RAM discs with its 5x DVD-RAM drive. Files are BWF-formatted for easy compatibility between PC and Mac computers.

Norwalk, CA (December 2, 2004)--Fostex America has debuted the newest addition to its professional product line, the DV824. The DV824 records eight tracks of up to 24-bit/48 kHz (four tracks gives the user 9 6kHz), to 12cm DVD-RAM discs with its 5x DVD-RAM drive. Files are BWF-formatted for easy compatibility between PC and Mac computers.

Timecode is included on the machine. The machine will also play discs that have been recorded on Fostex's PD-6 and DV40 recorders. Optional features include an IEEE 1394/USB 2.0 data transfer option, and a USB keyboard input for easier data. An optional hard drive also allows you to make mirror copies of DVD-RAM recordings, or utilize it to increase recording time.
