Toluca Lake, CA (February 5, 2004)–Elyse Schiller, founder/composer of Shake-a-Leg Productions, and Kathryn Korniloff, founder/composer of Sonicfruit, have announced the formation of a new creative and production alliance entitled Fruit/Shake. The new alliance offers expanded capabilities in original music composition, sound design, and audio post-production services to TV networks, TV programs, feature films, corporate videos, and multimedia projects. Fruit/Shake is based in a newly acquired studio in Toluca Lake, CA.
Regarding the new alliance, Schiller and Korniloff said, “Fruit/Shake allows us to offer our clients a team approach to virtually any and every conceivable music project. With the breadth of our collective experience across every musical style and genre, and our years of working with different types of clients in all media, we are now actively seeking new projects that can best utilize our established and successful creative approach.”
Concurrent with the formation of Fruit/Shake, Schiller and Korniloff have also announced the completion of their first major project, a music re-branding package for The Game Show Network (GSN), set for a March 2004 launch. Fruit/Shake was retained for the GSN assignment by Santa Monica-based design and branding agency V12.
The Fruit/Shake alliance brings together each existing company’s years of experience with the creation and production of music, sound design, and audio post-production for dozens of TV commercials, network branding projects, TV themes, film scores, mnemonics, and multi-media presentations.
Schiller’s musical compositions specialize in progressive, trip- and hip-hop, loungecore, downtempo, and house music with a strong pop sensibility. Korniloff appreciates songcraft and deep grooves, having written guitar-based pop, folk and rock. In addition to their work for hire, the duo is currently collaborating on songwriting and producing with the aim of creating a fresh body of work for a possible album release during this year.
