Orlando, FL (January 9, 2004)–Full Sail Real World Education recently purchased more than 72 Argosy Console pieces for their multi-station lab environments, where they house Digidesign Pro Control and Control 24 work surfaces as well as Sony DMX-R100s, Mackie d8bs, and MIDI systems built around Logic Audio and the Logic controller. According to Full Sail Recording Arts program director Bill Smith, Full Sail decided to go with Argosy after evaluating a lot of studio furniture options based on specialized qualifications.
“Our first priority was ergonomics,” Smith explained. “Our students and staff sit at these stations for extended periods of time and we wanted furniture that would facilitate both comfort and a logical work flow. We were also impressed with the look of Argosy. They lend the room a very professional, functional, and organized appearance. It’s amazing how installing a small-to-medium-sized console in an Argosy console can create the look, feel, and function of a large format mixing desk–particularly since you can have a patch bay, audio interfaces, processors, and other key peripheral pieces mounted right along side the desk. Argosy studio furniture has proven itself to be very durable–in an educational setting where the labs run 24/7.”
