Winter Park, FL (December 11, 2008)--Full Sail University's Show Production Touring degree program hits the 10-year mark this month, having educated hundreds of professionals in the industry over the last decade through its accelerated 13-month degree program that covers live sound, video, and lighting design.

Since 1998, the faculty of the Show Production Touring Degree Program, comprised of instructors who have served a variety of industry talent, have provided students with a hands-on approach to education in Full Sail's real world-style environment. Students work with a wide assortment of gear used by professionals in the entertainment industry, and Full Sail graduates from the Show Production Touring degree program worked in concert production for the top-grossing world tour seven out of eight years from 2000 to 2006, including: The Rolling Stones, U2, Madonna, Paul McCartney and Tina Turner. In addition, over the last 10 years, over 100 graduates have worked on more than 100 tours and events.

The program is housed within Full Sail's 190-acre campus, including Full Sail Live, a custom-designed and functional learning environment equipped with the same gear that is installed in live venues around the world. "Being well versed in the theories and principles behind the components of a live experience is what sets Full Sail's program apart," said Dana Roun, director of Audio Programs. "Technology may change, but Full Sail's innovative program and the consistent approach of our experienced instructors ensures the success of our students."

As with each of Full Sail's degree programs, graduates of the Show Production Touring Degree have obtained the opportunity to work with leading corporations in the industry, such as Clair Brothers Systems and Swank Audio Visuals. Others have secured careers in a variety of fields, including sports broadcasting, live concerts and touring, corporate productions, conventions and various forms of live entertainment productions, including theme parks, houses of worship and cruise ships.

"Having a program as unique as Show Production Touring enhances the curriculum that we are proud to offer at Full Sail University," added Roun. "We look forward to providing passionate students with the knowledge to become working professionals in this field for several more decades to come."
