Petaluma, CA (June 7, 2006)--Furman Sound has formed a partnership with Fender Musical Instruments, through which FMI Wholesale will serve as a distributor of Furman Sound's AC power-conditioning products. Formerly known as Fender Strings, Parts and Accessories, the newly created FMI Wholesale Division boasts more than 10 years of success in sales and distribution of Fender-branded products to the music business.

"Furman's early partnership in FMIC's new distribution business venture brings together two of the industry's best-known technology leaders, giving FMI Wholesale customers direct access to market-leading power-conditioning products," said Dave Keller, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Furman Sound. "FMI Wholesale has been gaining traction very rapidly since its inception, and we look forward to working closely with its team to build on this success and extend our product reach throughout the industry."

"FMI Wholesale is quickly expanding beyond its core business of distributing Fender products," said Jeff Moore, vice president of FMI Wholesale. "Power conditioning products from Furman Sound represent the quality, performance and reliability standards we demand within our growing offering of professional and consumer-oriented electronics. This partnership represents a very exciting and promising relationship for both our companies."

Furman's power-conditioning products feature proprietary "SMP+" technology, which combines three filtering and protection circuits: Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT) to suppress noise dramatically and consistently across the entire dynamic range; Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) to clamp and dissipate damaging transient voltages without sacrificing itself; and Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) to protect against loss of neutral or accidental connections at high-voltage levels.
