Nashville (April 17, 2007)--GC Pro has taken on the title sponsorship of the 10th Annual AudioMasters Golf Tournament, slated for May 25 in Nashville.
"GC Pro has been a good friend of the AudioMasters and the Nashville Engineer Relief Fund since they expanded into our market with a local Guitar Center store and with Pepper Denny working directly with the pro audio community under the GC Pro banner. Their taking the title sponsorship of the now GC Pro AudioMasters Benefit Golf Tournament is a huge step up in their commitment to the community and the cause," said Jim Kaiser, member of the AES Nashville Section's organizing committee for the tournament, and Chair of the NERF board of directors.
The annual event fills the links of the Harpeth Hills golf course with audio professionals--a roving party that combines golf competition with food, drink and swag provided by sponsoring studios, rental companies, professional organizations, the pro audio press and manufacturers. The event is the primary funding mechanism for NERF, a home grown charitable organization that helps out members of the Nashville audio community in times of personal crisis. The Nashville AES Section, who began the relief fund, hosts the GC Pro AudioMasters.
Nicole Cochran who's Nic Of Time Communications provides the event sponsorship and player coordination adds, "The GC Pro AudioMasters Benefit Golf Tournament is our tenth annual event, and we sold out our sponsorships and foursomes in record time. GC Pro is just the kind of partner we need to sustain this success. While the tournament is the social event of the season, all but shutting down Music Row for a day, the benefit to the members of the audio community who are facing troubled times is really what motivates the sponsors like GC Pro to participate so enthusiastically."
Tom Menrath, GC Pro director of business development says that, "GC Pro is proud to be a major sponsor of this important event. The Nashville Engineer Relief Fund does incredible things for industry people and their families. We are thrilled to be able give back to the music community in such a direct and meaningful way".
In addition to the tournament, a silent auction puts products and services in front of the Nashville audio community. Manufacturers and others that wish to make contributions should contact Cochran at 615-776-8881 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The 10th annual GC Pro AudioMasters is scheduled for May 25th.
