Gepco's XB401FB X-Band analog cable. Des Plaines, IL (January 3, 2008)--Gepco International has introduced its XB401FB X-Band double-shielded, single-pair analog cable. The XB401FB is a double-shielded (foil and braid) version of the company's XB401 single-pair audio cable.

The XB401FB conductors are made from 24AWG oxygen-free copper to allow for conductivity and corrosion resistance. For RF/EMI noise rejection, the XB401FB features two shields--a 95 percent TC braid and a 100 percent foil shield--as well as high-twist conductor pairing. Each conductor is insulated with a data-grade foam dielectric for low capacitance and easy termination. The outer jacket is constructed from Gepco's G-Flex compound.

Scott Fehl, Gepco's product development manager, comments, "Our X-Band single-pair audio cable is our premier cable for critical audio and studio wiring applications. It provides excellent audio performance without sacrificing the ease of termination that Gepco cable is known for. The XB401FB adds another option to this series for users who are looking for additional shielding and RF suppression."
