Lakeview, OR (September 30, 2005)--Gretch-Ken Industries, Inc. is now offering their Reinforced SoundBlocker1 in five attractive colors--Grey, Blue, Olive, Beige and Clear. Reinforced SoundBlocker1 is a sound blocking vinyl barrier that weighs one pound per square foot. Gretch-Ken Industries, Inc. - SoundSuckers.com manufacture and distribute a wide range of acoustic products and sound isolation booths and enclosures of all size and shapes.

Non-reinforced vinyl barriers tear under their own weight; in the Reinforced SoundBlocker1 Gretch-Ken has added an interior mesh that is pressed into the vinyl to prevent that tearing. According to Gretch-Ken, the new Reinforced SoundBlocker1s works well as custom window coverings and hanging barrier curtains to help block or reduce sound transmission through windows, and around loud machinery. Reinforced SoundBlocker1 blocks on an average of 27dB and comes in rolls sizes of 54" x 20', 54" x 30', 54" x 60' but they can also manufacture custom sizes for windows and door openings.

Gretch-Ken Industries, Inc. can add grommets along the top edge of the custom cut SoundBlocker1 panels so they can be hung like a curtain over a door or window; this product is also said to work great in industrial applications around noisy machinery. In industrial applications, Gretch-Ken Industries, Inc. sews Velcro along the sides so the panels can connect together without having gaps. This helps to prevent sound leakage. Velcro sewn along the edges of the SoundBlocker1 also works great for the custom window coverings because the Velcro can be attached to the window frame so that the window can be accessed if needed.
