Cincinnati, OH (August 25, 2006)–Following recent news regarding management-level promotions and appointments, Harris Corporation’s broadcast communications division announced three promotions within the sales team of its radio broadcast systems business unit. These appointments are being made as part of the company’s continued focus on new product development, market growth, product portfolio expansion and product optimization.

Chris Pannell, formerly district sales manager for radio broadcast systems, has been promoted to national sales manager for RF and radio systems and consoles. In his new position, Pannell will supervise the business unit’s team of district sales managers and monitor new technology development and new projects important to the radio industry in North America. He also will look to further relationships between Harris and independent radio broadcasters throughout North America.
Garrett Wood has been promoted from a team leader, broadcast center, to district sales manager for radio broadcast systems. Wood will be responsible for sales within Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Missouri.
Wes Hicks joins Harris radio broadcast systems as senior manager for channel development. Hicks has been with Harris for 15 years, most recently as the channel/sales manager for the company’s secure wireless local area networking product line (www.govcomm.harris.com/secure-comm/). In his new role, Hicks will lead the development of alternative channels for Harris Radio’s products in the independent, government and international markets.
Pannell and Hicks will report directly to Debra Huttenburg. Wood will report to Chris Pannell.
