Fairview Heights, IL (August 22, 2006)–Major League Baseball has chosen the Heil PR 30 for their new uplink studios in New York City. This new studio will be used to broadcast Major League Baseball games to their MLB.com subscribers.
“We selected the Heil PR 30 microphone because of its excellent performance and high quality construction,” said Joseph Inzerillo, senior vice president, multimedia and distribution, Major League Baseball Advanced Media. “Baseball is America’s favorite pastime and it’s gratifying to work with an American company who manufactures microphones in the state of Illinois, home to three Major League franchises, the Cubs, Sox and Cardinals.”
The Heil PR 30 microphones are mounted on the unique Heil PL2T Topless Microphone Management Boom system. The PL-2T is silent when moved and is perfectly balanced, using a system of internal springs rather than the unsightly and mechanically unstable outboard springs. The Heil PL-2 handles microphones weighing up to 3.5 pounds and features a hollow channel to house cables, which eliminates wire ties.
TransAudio Group distributes Heil Sound microphones worldwide.
