Minneapolis, MN (February 3, 2004)–At a recent ceremony at the Sundance Film Festival, the short narrative film Suspension was named one of three winners of the TriggerStreet.com Online Short Film Festival. The film was completed by Suspension producer/director/editor Jon Nowak in conjunction with Minneapolis-based Hi-Wire and music/sound design/audio post company BWN (Brahmstedt White Noise).
“We have been excited about this film from the start and are thrilled to hear about the recent award from TriggerStreet,” noted Tammy Kimbler Weber, managing producer, Hi-Wire. “At Hi-Wire, we are committed to independent projects and other long-format work that pushes creative boundaries in new and interesting ways.”
Suspension tells the story of what occurs when two individuals, with different points of view on final rituals, meet in the moment just before death. Marrying narrative with experimental sequences, Jon Nowak’s film presents a unique glimpse at the instant when two disparate lives intersect. Working with sound designer Rich Bologna were BWN’s Carl White, sound designer and mixer, Ken Brahmstedt, composer, and sound designer and mixer Chris Heidman.
Trigger Street Productions, Inc. was formed in 1997 by Kevin Spacey to develop and produce entertainment in a variety of mediums. TriggerStreet.com was founded in January 2002 as the web-based filmmaker and screenwriter’s community of record.
