New York (May 18, 2006)–HOF Audio has purchased a Midas XL8 live digital mixing system, making it the first Dutch company to field the desk.
HOF Audio has purchased the first Midas XL8 in Holland. (l-r) Pascal Arts (Midas Consoles Holland), Bart Hof (owner, Hof Audio), Auke Meijer (Hof Audio), Martin de Jong (Hof Audio)”Since Midas announced it was to produce a digital console which would retain, and indeed improve upon, the sound characteristics of XL4, we had huge confidence in the new product,” said company owner Bart Hof. “We also know that, this being Midas, we can be assured of excellent quality, service and support. There’s a niche for XL8 in the Dutch market, and as we are an established and trusted company, we are well placed to introduce it.”
Both Hof and his chief engineer Auke Meijer plan to make the most of the desk, aiming to take it into the marketplace as soon as possible. “Aside from the sound quality and reliability issues, Midas products have a great reputation for return on investment which we as a company also strive for,” continues Hof. “We have more confidence in being one of the first to invest in XL8 than we’ve had in any major purchasing decision before. For us this is a long term investment.”
