Los Angeles, CA (April 1, 2011)–Jeff Vaughn recently completed the mix for Chris Lennertz’s score for the animated feature Hop in Record One/Ocean Way’s Studio A.
Composer Chris Lennertz, who also scored Cats & Dogs, Meet the Spartans and Alvin and the Chipmunks, commented on his sessions, “Mixing at Record One was a dream. The gear and crew were fantastic and helped me bring my music to life. What a great room!”
In Record One’s Studio A are (l-r) Kevin Globerman, digital score recordist; Jeff Vaughn, score mixer; Chris Lennertz, composer; Patrick Spain, assistant scoring engineer; and Bryon Rickerson, music editor.
Blending CGI animation with live action, the Universal Pictures animated feature tells the story of E.B. (voiced by Russell Brand), the teenage son of the Easter Bunny who, on the eve of taking over the family business, leaves home for Hollywood to pursue his dream of becoming a drummer, and is hit by Fred O’Hare (James Marsden), an out-of-work slacker who was driving home. Feigning injury, E.B. manipulates Fred to take him in as he recovers. As Fred struggles with the world’s worst houseguest, both will learn what it takes to finally grow up, as Fred is pressed to partner with E.B. to save Easter.
