Buena Park, CA (June 1, 2009)--Hosa Technology celebrates its 25th anniversary today.
Founded in 1984, Hosa Technology has developed into a sizable manufacturer of cables and connectors, MIDI interfaces, stage boxes, preamplifiers, headphones, microphones, patchbays, instrument care products, switchers, digital audio format adapters, and more.
Hosa Technology opened for business on June 1, 1984, conceived and started by Sho Sato for the purpose of distributing Hosa-brand musical instrument cables, adaptors, and accessories to musical instrument dealers worldwide. Born in 1943 in Yokohama, Japan, Sato moved to the United States in 1967 to work for the TEAC Corporation of America in Montebello, CA as a technician before rising to the position of National Sales Manager, Accessories Division. He stayed with TEAC until 1984 when he launched Hosa Technology, Inc.
Today, the company has evolved into a diversified organization that now offers products for musicians, tour sound professionals, the A/V contractor market, and carries a total of greater than 2000 SKUs. In addition to Hosa-branded products, the company has formed the upscale Zaolla Silverline brand of cable offerings, and distributes the Da-Cappo Micro Microphones line throughout the Americas, as well as CAIG instrument care products throughout North America.
Over the years, Hosa Technology has revised the company logo and its packaging to reflect its more diversified nature. Further, the company has introduced new websites for both Hosa Technology and Zaolla Silverline (its two main brands), has introduced wall plates and related products for contractors, and has expanded its line of professional interconnects.
"The evolution of Hosa Technology to its present day status is an accomplishment I am extremely proud of," says Sho Sato, president of Hosa Technology. "Over the years, Hosa has grown to reflect the diverse nature of the music and sound industry. The people who work here are like family and, without their effort and dedication; the Company's expansion would not have been possible. Looking forward, I envision even greater opportunities as we strive to provide the music and sound professional with the best tools available to help make their aspirations a reality."
