New York, NY (November 25, 2003)–New York audio post and sound design facility Hothead has added a new mixer, sound designer and music composer to its roster of talent. Jenna Emens joins Hothead in December following three hugely successful years at Manhattan’s Howling Trout Audio.
At Howling Trout, Emens worked on a diverse range of clients in both spot, long-form TV and film formats and worked on accounts such as Gillette, Plavix, and Yoplait. Her clients have included BBDO, Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi, AF&G, Bjornquist Films, Firebrand Productions, Highway 61, Little Upstarts, Showtime, and the Tucker Partnership.
Prior to her three years at Howling Trout, Emens worked at Eastside Audio and Unique Recording, where she honed her audio skills working with artists such as Marilyn Manson, Korn, Fred Durst, Portishead, Redman, Wu Tang Clan, Refugee Camp, Nelly, Jay-Z, and Blondie.
Emens comments, “I am very honored to be a part of such an amazing audio facility. Everything from their friendly staff, and the incredibly talented engineers, to the modern Pro Tools audio suites, drew me in right away. They are like one big happy family, and I am happy to be a part of that. One of my many reasons for wanting to join Hothead was that the owners were all audio engineers and I found that very appealing. I am very happy to be a part of the Hothead family.”
Hothead senior engineer and co-owner, Laki Fotopoulos, added, “We’re very excited to welcome Jenna into the Hothead family. Jenna’s experience and fresh approach to sound are going to be an incredible asset to the studio and our clients.”
