New York (August 6, 2008)--Rock legends Iggy Pop and The Stooges had their touring gear stolen Monday morning outside the Embassy Suites Hotel in Montreal. The theft, estimated to have taken place between 6:30 and 7:30AM, robbed the band of vintage guitars, amplifiers and more.

The truck that stored the gear was recovered Tuesday, a few blocks from the hotel; the contents were missing, however. While the band plans to make its scheduled gig tonight in Toronto, the theft came just hours after the act's first Canadian gig in more than 30 years. Photos of some of the stolen gear can be found here, and a full list of the missing gear follows below.

The band's road manager, Eric Fischer, has asked that anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the gear contact him at nycentral13@gmail.com.
