MALIBU, CA (November 12, 2003)–ILIO Entertainments has entered into an agreement to serve as the exclusive distributor of Applied Acoustic Systems’ products in North America. Applied Acoustic Systems is a Montreal-based company specializing in software-based synthesis tools, including the Tassman, an expansive collection of synths and presets, as well as the Lounge Lizard EP, a virtual electric piano.
Tassman, the company’s first virtual instrument, is a fully modular software instrument based on physical modeling, integrating analog and acoustic sound synthesis modules with an intuitive, hardware-like interface. The newly-released Tassman 3 is a sound design solution offering a near infinite range of innovative possibilities for realistic emulation of acoustic instruments, analog and FM synthesizers, as well as unique hybrid construction that is not possible by any other means of synthesis.
The Lounge Lizard EP-2 Electric Piano is a recreation of classic electric pianos; a uniquely adaptable solution for the creation of “living, breathing” custom tones. The new Lounge Lizard EP-2 includes a key release model for even greater realism and a new second pickup model for additional tonal control. All effects modulation and stereo delays in Lounge Lizard sync to the host tempo, and the program features support for MIDI program change to allow hands-free operation.
Both products run on Windows and Mac OSX and support DXi, VST, RTAS and now Audio Units plug-in formats.
