Portland, ME (June 24, 2009)–Independent Audio was appointed the exclusive US distributor for the Audessence range of digital audio and broadcast products following NAB 2009, according to president Fraser Jones.
According to Audessence director, Graham Sloggett, “Independent Audio was selected as our exclusive US distributor because of its product marketing expertise, nationwide presence, and established premier broadcast dealer network in the USA.”
Audessence is an established designer and manufacturer of a growing range of digital audio products for radio and TV, internet and educational markets.
The ALPS range of digital processors solve audio level problems using 96 kHz digital audio leveling and peak control technology. ALPS-3 model comes with IP, while the half chassis PodBlaster version contains the same AGC, but at an entry-level price.
Audessence offers two models of fully featured RDS /RBDS encoders; both feature control software and can be individually addressed over a shared link (e.g. satellite distribution). Top of the range RDS PRO-2 also comes with integral 100MHz Ethernet IP interface.
Transmission products include the AM PRO-1, a digital audio processor providing audio for AM broadcasting, and for those on a budget, the half chassis ModBlaster is available.
Audessence is now introducing ProCoder-2, a final FM processor/stereo encoder combination. This product includes low frequency compensator and advanced HF overshoot inhibiting algorithms. ProCoder-2 also handles audio processing and peak control tasks required at FM transmission sites.
