Las Vegas (June 9, 2010)--InfoComm opened with a bang yesterday at the Las Vegas Hilton’s Barron Ballroom.
Sponsored by Bosch and West Penn Wire, the InfoComm Opening Reception provided hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and live music from The Loud Jazz Big Band for attendees. Visitors were able to meet with new colleagues and visit with old friends at InfoComm's still popular networking event. It was free to all attendees last night, and many that were there lauded the organization for its continued commitment to providing networking opportunities.
NSCA’s ExpoJam followed the opening reception, and attendees were treated to musical guest, Caliber, a sing-along, dance, rock, funk and reggae band with a bit of an edge. Attendees were able to send requests to the band before the event through the NSCA website. Also free to all attendees, the ExpoJam continues to be a favorite of many visitors each year. Sponsored by West Penn Wire, Bosch, Synnex Professional AV, and Systems Plus Insurance, the ExpoJam was a rousing success.
“There were over 2,000 attendees at the reception yesterday,” explained Randy Lemke, executive director and CEO of InfoComm. “The even was held in Bosch’s audio demo room, so there were already two full stages of audio gear ready to be utilized. Also, the Loud Jazz Big Band got everyone dancing. They’re a group made up of the old house bands that Frank Sinatra and many others used to play with back in Las Vegas’ heyday.”
