Boston, MA (November 20, 2007)--Iron Mountain Incorporated has announced its acquisition of Xepa Digital, LLP, a company dealing in the conversion of analog and outmoded digital audio and video tapes to high-resolution digital file formats for archiving and distribution. The acquisition extends Iron Mountain's footprint in the film and sound industry.

"Iron Mountain and Xepa Digital focus on preserving and protecting companies' valued resources," says Jeff Anthony, Iron Mountain vice president of Film & Sound Services. "In particular, both companies understand the need for the secure preservation of irreplaceable media assets specific to the entertainment industry. Entertainment customers will have peace of mind knowing that their valuable assets will never have to leave the Iron Mountain facility for digital transfer and, therefore, won't be subject to potential loss or damage."

As a long-term partner for many entertainment companies, Iron Mountain preserves more than six million analog audiotapes, including masters. Onsite digital conversion will allow customers to have their tapes digitized without leaving the facility in which they are stored and protected. Iron Mountain provides preservation services to all of the major film studios and record labels, including long-term archiving, tape inspection and duplication services, film cleaning, meta-data cataloging services and more.

Iron Mountain will retain former Xepa Digital employees, including company founders, Ken Caillat, Edwin Outwater and Claus Trebly. Veterans of the entertainment industry, the Xepa Digital principals will join Iron Mountain as studio executives responsible for the day-to-day operation of the bi-coastal business. Xepa Digital has been recognized with multiple Grammy nominations for its work.

"Xepa Digital is an established provider of services to preserve, protect and digitize original master audio and video assets for major players in the entertainment industry," says Edwin Outwater, Xepa Digital managing partner. "This acquisition signals Iron Mountain's clear understanding of the changing business models in the industry and its readiness to provide its customers with an end-to-end solution utilizing the newest access, storage and electronic-delivery systems available. Iron Mountain recognizes the need to safely and securely transfer original audio and video tapes to archival digital media and clearly has the reputation and resources to continue to provide top-notch services to our customers."
