New York (June 3, 2009)–Christian conferences rely heavily on their PA systems; after all, speakers need to be heard clearly in order to spread the word, and music is an integral part of the message as well. Christ In Youth, which specializes in connecting young people with Jesus Christ through conferences and events, recently used an ISP Technologies line array system for one of its CIY Christian Conferences at the Bank of Kentucky Arena in Highland Heights, KY.
CIY organizers first heard an ISP Technologies Line Array System at a demonstration for a church in Oronogo, MO, and soon approached ISP about using a system in the 13,500 seat Bank of Kentucky Arena. It was decided that the system would consist of 10 per side of the HDL 4212 true 4-way line array cabinets, two per side of the HDL 4210 12( boxes for downfills and eight per of the XMAX 212 subwoofers, which provided a full five-way system for the event.
The sound system was brought in with the help of both Stageworks and Reign Productions, two companies that provide FOH, monitor engineering and system teching for live events. ISP contracted Reign Productions to do the system teching to ensure everything was up and running correctly before turning the FOH duties over to someone from CIY.
Reign Productions owner Josh Maichele and one of his A2s set and aligned the system for use. “In high-end, large venue situations, there are few cabinets out there that provide vocal clarity, great transparency and superb fidelity,” opined Maichele. “ISP’s HDL4212 line array cabinets provide all of this with unparalleled horsepower, something traditionally lacking in this type of cabinet. I experienced little to no driver fatigue from the beginning till the end of the show, giving me the headroom to go where I needed to through the last song. Impressively, ISP was able to do this at a cost of a third less than anybody competing in the same market.”
